Radio-Zone

BroVis Wireless Networks, a developer and manufacturer of Next Generation Broadband Wireless Access Systems, announced the launch of Radio-Zone solution using its innovative dual radio architecture for both indoor and outdoor applications. This key capability will enable BroVis Wireless Networks’ Service Provider and Enterprise customers to provide cost-effective “light-mesh” wireless access networks using 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz radio bands.

Radio-Zone allows BroVis Wireless Networks’ customers to deploy scalable, high capacity, highly secure, cable-free and interference-free wireless access networks with no compromises in performance. In addition, Radio-Zone deployment can be done very easily compared to traditional mesh deployments. With BroVis Wireless Networks’ dual radio system, Service Providers can use one radio for backhaul and the other for local access Wi-Fi type distribution services. Radio-Zone allows the dual radio systems to be set up as secure zones within large campuses, hotels, industrial parks, government buildings and rural areas with instant scalability and manageability.

Radio-Zone solution complements BroVis Wireless Networks' popular high speed BroadCell solution suite comprising AS1000 Base-Station, AC100 subscriber unit and WIOS (Wireless Infrastructure Operating System) 1.0 system software. These products were the first to deliver broadband in the fast growing Indian subcontinent and surrounding regions using standards based technology over wider distances in rough and challenging NLOS (Non Line of Sight) terrains, providing raw throughput of up to 108Mbps. The solution suite can enable wireless access or distribution within the last mile as well as up to 5km in a NLOS application, and up to 40km in LOS (Line of Sight) applications using Brovis Wireless Networks' TrueEXOR technology.

Radio-Zone solution suite comprises of both AS1000 Base station and AC100 subscriber unit (CPE) product series configured with Dual Radio (2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz) hardware on the same platform and specialized software capabilities like concurrent mode operation, multiple SSID feature set, P-MP bridging capability and flexible deployment mode options along with the currently available rich WIOS feature set. The Radio-Zone solution is unique in the sense that it comes fully integrated as one system with no need for any interconnection between the two radios and with flexible packaging/antenna options.

Radio-Zone dual radio capability will be available as a version of the AS1000 and AC100 systems with flexible packaging/antenna options. Systems can be ordered immediately with a lead time of 1-2 weeks.
