Medicinal mushrooms have been treasured for 7,000 years as profound
healing agents. Mushrooms have been shown in numerous modern
scientific studies to possess medicinal properties. Seven mushrooms
in particular have demonstrated remarkable health benefits: the
Asian mushrooms Cordyceps sinensis family (cordyceps), Hericium erinaceus (lion's mane), Coriolus versicolor (turkey tails), Ganoderma lucidum (reishi), Lentinula edodes (shiitake), and Grifola frondosa (maitake); and the Brazilian mushroom Agaricus blazei (Agaricus).
These seven special fungi contain an abundance of enzymes,
polysaccharides and protein-bound polysaccharides, including the
highly beneficial beta-D-glucans. Thus, they all possess
significant immune-strengthening properties. Animal and human
trials have found these mushrooms enhance the production of
T-cells, helper T-cells, natural killer cells and macrophages.
Additionally, research indicates that reishi encourages the
